Put a spring in your step…

Poweriser
… literally! In the same vein as the pogo stick we previously covered, these powerisers look like a more versatile method of leaping tall buildings in a single bound.

They are attachments that clip on to normal shoes to give you that bio-augmented feel you’ve always wanted ever since you saw Steve Austin run in super-slow-motion :-)

Run at 20 MPH and leap 6 feet in the air - sounds like sci-fi and a few years ago it would have been but these things are available to buy now.

The downside is the upper weight limit - 90 kilos? Come on guys, what sort of pizza-loving geek is going to make that? Oh… right… suddenly I see the point. Well they’re still cool even if I can’t actually use them!

If you’re in the UK and you weigh less than me you can pick up a pair at www.boysstuff.co.uk or if Stateside give Amazon a seach.

Do you have to be able to do the splits to use them, that looks paibful even before the landing.

I’ve just bought a pair of powerizers from poweriserstilts.com
. One thing I noticed on this site is that there are loads of different names for powerisers, like powerskips and velocity stilts. Does anyone know what the difference between them is as the site just lists the names, but doesn’t tell you anymore information about them. I hope I’ve bought the best pair!

You are right James there’s so many names for these stilts it does get a little confusing! We sell some called Pro-Jump Stilts these are patent protected stilts and the genuine product. If you are considering purchasing a pair we can guarantee the cheapest UK for price at http://www.ghostracingseries.com/projump.htm

So now that springs were made for weights up to 120kg, Most pizza eating geeks would now qualify. As for James’s Question its one that everyone asks. If you want stilts for less than $500 go with the Poweriser brand. Few people have found the slightly cheaper brands to be as well made.
