Cooking Pizza’s on a BBQ

by Al

BBQ Pizza StoneI do enjoy a good BBQ (even on my DIY barbecue) but my favourite source of vegetables is pizza (hmmmm pizza). Barbecues and pizza don’t normally mix that well which is why I was impressed to see this Grill-Top Pizza Stone.

The Grill-Top Pizza Stone is designed for gas grills but I don’t see why it wouldn’t work on a conventional charcoal BBQ (gas is cheating in my house). You rest the stone on top of the grill, stoke it up to the perfect pizza cooking temperature (as shown on the incorporated thermometer) and cook your meat feast.

Available from Williams Sonoma found on uncrate.

Great blog! I love seeing new blogs about food and cooking. Some of the recipes here sound very interesting. I can’t wait to try making one of them. Please check out my recipe blog @ http://www.kachef.com and let me know what you think. Bon Appetit!

I love food cooked on the grill. How to make a choice of barbecue? What kind of grill you choose? What advise?

I saw a homemade version of this once. Made out of a shiny finished paving slab and rested on to of an on oil drum style bbq. Looked great but not sure of the taste!

I completely agree, what is the point of buying a gas bbq, you might as well just put it under the grill in the kitchen, anyway i think everything tastes better on a charcole bbq, yum
