Faker$ - Creative Fun with Forgeries
I remember being a kid and trying to make it look like I was visiting with a famous celebrity by having someone take a picture of me next to a cardboard cut out advertisement, I also remember those photo booths by the beach that let you put yourself on the cover of a well known magazine… complete with the body of a Goddess. Those were some fun times… but now being someone you’re not just got a whole lot easier!
Heliceum, a company specializing in the development and publishing of entertainment applications for smartphones iPods and iPads, announces the release of its newest application, Faker$. Faker$ is an app for everyone with a sense of humor-that wants to share it. With a multitude of crazy and spoofy templates to work with, Faker$ lets its users create fake magazine covers, ridiculous newspaper headlines, off-the-wall ID cards, and downright weird diplomas in record time, and thanks to its intuitive interface, impressing and stupefying friends and family is child’s play. Kidz Gear has new headphones for little ones
You know that back in the day, owning a mobile phone was pretty big business. You had to be a person with a reasonably comfortable bank balance in order to purchase one of these puppies, and there was still this thing called payphones as well. Make an appointment with a friend, and ensure you stick to the time and place religiously, as there was no way to keep in touch otherwise. These days, the cost of ownership of phones have dropped so much that even little kids own a handset, and the more privileged ones carry around iPhones in addition to a slew of other Apple products such as an iPad and iPod touch.
This revolution in the mobile consumer electronics industry has certainly led to a change in the way third party accessories manufacturers churn out products - they now have an even larger market to target, and Kidz Gear decided to throw their lot with Cupertino’s devices with their latest offering, targeting kids who own a myriad of Apple devices, coming in the form of the Kidz Gear Apple Wired Headphones for Kids.

Rokform Rokbed v3 iPhone case
When you have a device like the iPhone and the iPod touch selling like hot cakes, and folks do actually camp outside your store a couple of days before the actual launch date just to be one of the first in the world to lay hands on the latest iPhone, you know that you are on to a winner here. Needless to say, with such a huge market base, third party manufacturers too, are more than happy to see such a successful product being introduced to the world, as it means another avenue for profit has just opened up. The accessories market for the iPod and iPhone range is definitely a money spinning one, especially when you get your formula right.
Rokform intends to make a splash with their unique Rokbed v3 iPhone case, having picked up an International CES Innovations 2012 Design and Engineering Awards Honoree in the process. Apptoyz AppBlaster
The £14.99 Apptoyz AppBlaster is the first interactive gun in the world that is meant for gaming, where your iPod or iPhone will be housed within the viewfinder in order to provide you with a truly unique gaming experience. Of course, each purchase will need to be accompanied by the free app to get you going, transforming just about anywhere you are into a virtual battleground. I would say that you should play this in the comfort of your own home or somewhere private, since you won’t look at your most attractive when you are playing with this particular puppy in public, what with the “pew pew” moments.
The AppBlaster comes with a unique trigger to touch screen technology alongside a double trigger that enables 2 interactions with the game. Being a snap to set up, and no matter how frustrated you get, your iPhone or iPod will remain securely locked in place. Tilt back to reload (something like Virtua Cop at the arcades where you shoot outside of the screen), you can play in 90, 180 or 360 degrees. It is compatible with the iPhone 3GS/4 and iPod touch 4G or newer, and does not require any batteries to play - now how about that?
Get ready for the Age of iWalk!
It is truly amazing that companies can stay afloat with just accessories alone. We have already reported on the quality ones from TYLT, and now it is time for iWalk.
The company has about twelve patented docking backup battery models. The batteries range in power from 800 mAh to 15,000 mAh.
Sure, a lot of companies have products like these, but this one has some that are quite unique. For example, they have the world’s first dual USB car charger with power switch. They also have the world’s smallest 800 mAh rechargeable docking backup iPhone/iPod battery, where sleek power switch batteries are merged seamlessly with a color-customizable hard case. The company also makes the first iPod/iPhone/iPad charging cable with a built-in indicator light.
Other products include the Sound Angle, a wireless Bluetooth speaker for smart devices that looks triangular in its shape.
It really seems like these mobile accessories companies really go out their way to make certain that you have the right peripheral that matches your outfit. It is hard to believe that we are at this level now in mobile technology.
The company iWalk has a lot a lot to offer users, and I would imagine that they intend to make quite a splash this year. I highly recommend going to their catalog here and see if there is anything that you need for your smartphone or iDevice. Of course, the prices range, but they are relatively affordable.
Optrix HD for the iPhone/iPod Touch
Time for another tech trend that I have noticed the last time I reported on the Miveu.
The trend is turning the iPhone into an action camera, like the GoPro or other similar models. This one by Optrix is designed to be a durable frame for the iPhone/iPod Touch into a camera, and clip to a bike so you have access to the iPhone itself.
Because of the Optrix, you will be able to shoot with the iPhone 4S’s full 1080p HD. Thanks to the new optics that can allow more light and video stabilization, your videos will be less shaky than most “extreme” videos. By the way, the case is water resistant so you can take some water, snow, or wherever you are filming.
