Nokia Lumia 900 was made for the US
Remember when Nokia first announced the Nokia Lumia 800 and Lumia 710 a few months ago, being the first Windows Phone powered devices from the Finnish phone manufacturer? Many of us living Stateside were complaining and wondering just how come Nokia did not roll out those phones here first, but concentrated on Europe and Asia instead. Well, here is a phone that is born and bred from Nokia’s stables that will cater to the good ol’ US of A - the Nokia Lumia 900. This puppy was specially developed for AT&T, and it will offer a larger screen, faster processor and support for the fastest mobile data transfers available to date.

HP ENVY 14 Spectre unveiled

Take a look at it above and you will know what I mean - this nifty little consumer Ultrabook that resides in the premium category is capable of commanding anyone’s attention thanks to its clever and unparalleled use of glass. The Thermador Freedom Induction Cooktop at CES Unveiled
Last night, at CES Unveiled, I got a chance to see some very interesting products, and I am always on the lookout for ones with the most “neat” factor. Thermador showed me what the future of the kitchen range cookers will look like.
Thermador’s new Cooktop uses induction technology for cooking. If you are not familiar with it, it uses magnets instead of a burner to heat what is inside of a pot. Their Freedom Induction Cooktop allows the user to place their pots anywhere on this surface, and the contents inside will be heated to boiling while the area around it will be cool to the touch. (By the way, this induction cooking will work on an uncovered pot, provided the pot is magnetic.)
That alone was enough to sell me, but the company showed off a natural mapping user interface that can instantly recognize cookware size, shape, and position. It comes as a 6.5-inch full color touchscreen.

Monster Press Conference at CES 2012
I’m still reeling over the Acer Press Conference yesterday, and this morning, I decided to see what Monster was up to. Noel Lee, the “Head Monster” took the stage in his Segway and was quite good at inspiring the crowd. From there, it was guest speaker after guest speaker, announcing their 2012 product line.
For example, the Monster Micro, a small Bluetooth speaker that is very customizable. Not only can the user switch out the grills and bases, but he or she can actually change the voice of the speaker. You know how most Bluetooth products have a very sterile human voice? The Micro has many accents and attitudes.
Customizable seemed to be quite a theme as one of their newest headphones, the Inspiration, comes with a customizable headband that sticks on through the power of magnets. Monster had many models trying out headbands that were quite outrageous with feathers and all manner of colors and styles.

Samsung Wi-Fi Video Baby Monitor debuts at CES 2012
Las Vegas is the landing strip for many a gadget at CES 2012, and Samsung does not want to miss out on the party with their spanking new Wi-Fi Video Baby Monitor which delivers industry leading design, technology and security in a single device. New parents might find it especially useful, while the older parents (or those who already have a few kids) will probably give a gander at this and go, “Meh!” while continuing their lives with their gut instinct (and experience, of course). Still, those who want to follow the adage that it is better to be safe that sorry might want to see what Samsung’s Wi-Fi Video Baby Monitor brings to the table (or home, rather).

E FUN APEN A5 stylus
With so many tablets being released these days, what is your primary mode of interaction with the tablet? I would be so bold as to venture that the most of us use our fingers since that is the most intuitive and convenient. On a side note, I did hear from a friend of mine that if you happen to be walking in the favelas of Brazil, it would be best not to point at anything or anywhere, as it might just get you killed. Can anyone verify that? I digress, and for the more sophisticated among you, here is a stylus that you might want to get to use alongside your tablet - the E FUN APEN A5 stylus. It is said to be the key to unlocking your creative potential as you design, create, draw, write, sketch, and edit on the iPad without missing a beat.
Being extremely natural to use, you are able to write or draw right from the get go without having to go through a steep learning curve or alter your writing habits. Student, educators, business professionals or creative artists should be able to find a use for the $99 E FUN APEN A5 stylus. There is a built-in battery that is said to be able to last up to 90 hours, so you won’t find yourself juicing this up too often.
Mobee Magic Feet inductive charging system
Going wireless is obviously where we’re headed to, and this also applies to wireless charging capabilities of devices these days. Somehow or rather, wireless charging never really seemed to catch on, never mind that (the now defunct) Palm’s Touchstone charger did impress initially but never managed to capture the imagination of the masses. Well you know what they say - if at first you don’t succeed, try again. The Mobee Magic Feet inductive charging system does just that, where it will be able to juice up the batteries which send power to your Bluetooth keyboard, Magic Mouse, and Magic Trackpad - wirelessly. Even better news is you do not need to remove them batteries in the first place.
The Mobee Magic Feet can power up three accessories simultaneously, and since it comes with four USB 2.0 ports, this also functions as a USB hub. On its own when depleted, you will need half a dozen hours to power it, and the $149.90 asking price certainly is not too much to fork out for if you happen to live with a computing ecosystem that comprises devices from nobody else but Apple.
