With NAPPAK, You can Sleep Anywhere, especially the office

Saturday, April 5th, 2008

Long all nighters at the office, overnight camp outs at the beach, or just a fun way to do a slumber party. The Nappak is the answer to sleep comfort away from home. Built in response to a 2004 German Study that found that a daily power nap can help improve efficiency and morale in the office, the Nappak was designed by four college students who sought to provide a practical tool to put the studies’ findings into practical action.

Myfotowall is the Ultimate in Personalization

myfotowall_small.jpg

The photo you’re seeing here isn’t a bed on a beach with a portable wall. What you’re seeing is someone’s favorite memory blown up into wallpaper.

Personally, I think it is about time someone offered a service that can convert an average digital photo into wallpaper. The company, Myfotowall can print a digital photo up to a maximum of 1600%, or sixteen times larger. The quality is only as good as the quality of the original photograph, but that is no surprise.

The wallpaper produced by Myfotowall is UV cured, which means they are “lightfast for up to three years”. In other words, it will be three years before the photo will start fading.

Giant Golf Set

Monday, March 17th, 2008

The Giant Golf Set you see here helps you hit the darn ball since it has been blown up. After all, who in their right mind would continue swinging at a ball all day long while missing the target?

The trouble with golf is that everything is so darn small. The club heads are tiny, the ball is minute, the holes are just ludicrous (as are the shoes of course), and you begin to wonder what on earth the point is. However, if it wasn’t for someone inventing pinhead golf, then some other idiot wouldn’t have come up with this super-size, super-stupid Giant Golf. Club, tee and ball are all ludicrously big, enabling even the tragically inept to take a successful swing and watch with smug satisfaction as their ball sails across the garden, beach or fairway. Though we don’t suggest trying this on a real fairway as golf clubs are renowned more for their feelings of self-importance than their sense of humor. It’s big, it’s beautiful and it’s a brilliantly fun lawn game.

The Giant Golf Set will retail for £19.99 a pop. You’ll need a sense of humor before purchasing this.

Night Vision Glasses makes driving at night much easier …

TH Night Vision glasses

Darkness not only removes light from the scene when you’re driving, it also takes out contrast, leaving a night driver with the bright spotlight cast by the car’s headlights, and any other place where light is cast by streetlights, a full moon, billboard lights, etc. It’s a light/dark world with no degree of shade or contrast. High-end sports watch maker Tag Heuer has recognized that the ability to see varying degrees of light and dark can add that contrast and have created a pair of Night Vision glasses to help drivers to see – even when no light is cast. Here’s how they work:

Snow Ball Maker

Friday, February 8th, 2008

snow-ball-maker.jpgIn a snowball fight, accuracy is not everything as you also need to have an abundant amount of ammunition to wear down the opposing team. With the Sno-Baller, things could turn the tide in your favor pretty soon.

The Sno-Baller turns out huge numbers of snowballs in seconds, so gloves stay drier and hands warmer, and you can fire away without running out — crucial in family and neighborhood snowball fights! Snow Block Maker forms perfect-sized chunks for snow forts and walls, and also works in sand at the beach. Injection-molded high-impact plastic.

Strangely enough, the product page can’t seem to load at the moment. Still, this sounds like an unfair advantage if you happen to indulge yourself in snowball fights.

Verizon Wireless Gleam in purple

Monday, January 28th, 2008

Samsung has just made available its Gleam cell phone to Verizon Wireless in a brand new color - purple. I’ve always liked this color, and I suppose there must be enough people in the market like me for Samsung to come to that decision. Unfortunately, I don’t want to be tied down to another 2-year agreement so I’ll give this a pass for the moment. But enough about me - let’s get to the nitty gritty on what the Gleam has to offer to the masses. This shiny and slim clamshell handset comes with a living wallpaper user interface and is readily available at all Verizon Wireless Communications Stores as well as online.

Keep tabs on your home from anywhere in the world via Rovio

Monday, January 7th, 2008

When you’re off attending big shows like CES or just out of town for a few days for a vacation, who watches over your house? Like the old saying goes, “if you want something done right, you have to do it yourself.” No, I don’t mean you should just stay home, but you might consider this cool security bot that will let you check on your house from the convenience of your beach chair.

Maxtor and Sentry Group Fire Resistant Cabinets keep hard drives real safe

Friday, November 16th, 2007

As much as I would like to say that I am one of those persons who takes out their hard drives everyday and makes certain that it is safe from all harm, I’m not. I would imagine that there are some people who will even remove their hard drives and put it in a safe every night.

Fortunately, Maxtor has teamed up with Sentry Group to create a new level of security that is simply incredible. All these drives can withstand a day under water and 1550 degrees. So if your beach house is set on fire and then falls into the ocean, you have a day to fish your hard drive out.
